Travelling by motorhome is one of the best ways to explore Canada with its wide-open roads and campgrounds situated in pristine nature. The region is beautiful in the spring and summer, but come in the autumn and you will experience the stunning fall colours as the leaves of maple and oak trees burst into vibrant reds, oranges and yellows.

Day 1
Toronto
On arrival to Toronto Pearson International Airport, transfer independently to your hotel. Beautifully located on the shores of Lake Ontario, Toronto is one of the world’s most vibrant cities. Travel up the iconic CN Tower, be spoilt for choice in the foodie’s heaven that is St Lawrence Market and stroll the Art Gallery of Ontario, home to an impressive 95,000 pieces of artwork from Canada and the rest of the world.
Day 2-3
Niagara Falls
Pick up your motorhome and after stocking up on groceries, it’s time for the adventures to begin. Although your next destination is Niagara Falls, we recommend going via the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake. Call into one of the many wineries that surround the town and grab a bottle (or two!) to enjoy in the evenings when you are relaxing in a campground. The next day, marvel at the world-famous Niagara Falls and join a boat trip to feel the spray from the falls!
Day 4
Blue Mountain
Head north, stopping first at the historic village of Elora to admire the views down the Elora Gorge and browse the boutiques before arriving at Blue Mountain. Located at Georgian Bay, Blue Mountain Village is a year-round resort with plenty of activities on offer from scenic hikes to zip lines. We recommend taking the gondola up the mountain for fantastic views over Georgian Bay, which is an arm of Lake Huron.
Day 5-6
Algonquin Provincial Park
Head North-east to Algonquin Provincial Park, a vast area of maple hills, rocky ridges, and thousands of lakes. The park is home to moose, black bears, and common loons (the provincial bird of Ontario!). One of the best ways to explore is by canoe which you can hire from one of the many outfitters dotted around the park. Or why not join a guided canoe tour? The local guides have a wealth of knowledge of the local flora and fauna to help you get the most from your experience.
Day 7
Pembroke
Situated on the banks of the Ottawa River, Pembroke is the gateway to many outdoor adventures. The Ottawa Valley is known as the Whitewater Capital of Canada and has rafting experiences for people of all skill levels. Open 4 mornings a week in the summer season, the Pembroke Farmers’ Market is the place to buy food and other products directly from local producers.
Day 8
Bon Echo Provincial Park
On the way to Bon Echo, we recommend visiting the Bonnechere Caves for a guided experience 100 feet underground that was 500 million years in the making! Bon Echo Provincial Park is a local gem featuring hiking trails that vary in length and weave through lush forests and alongside clear lakes. The highlight of this park is the 100-metre high Mazinaw Rock rising from the lake of the same name and featuring over 260 Indigenous pictographs.
Day 9
Perth
Considered one of Ontario’s prettiest towns, Perth is full of charisma that charms all visitors. Take a stroll through downtown area with its historic buildings and visit Code’s Mill, an old stone mill dating back to 1842, now home to boutique shops such as Perth Chocolate Works. With your motorhome restocked with treats, head to your next idyllic campground, we recommend Murphy’s Point Provincial Park located on Rideau Lake.
Day 10-11
Thousand Islands National Park
Head to Thousand Islands National Park and spend 2 nights here to give yourself plenty of time to explore the picturesque granite islands and rugged shorelines. Explore secluded bays by kayak or boat, or learn about the region's biodiversity and rich Indigenous heritage from the vantage point of wooded trails and rocky lookouts.
Day 12
Prince Edward Island
A short drive takes you to Prince Edward Island, one of Ontario’s most treasured holiday spots known for its world-class wineries, sandy beaches, and towering limestone cliffs. Join a guided tour of the wineries to enjoy wine tasting with food pairings or take a stroll through historic Picton.
Day 13
Keene
Spend your morning continuing to explore the island, at the heart of the island is the small community of Picton, known for its architecturally significant buildings and Main Street shops. In the afternoon head to your destination, the small village of Keene, and choose from one of the many campsites located on the shores of Rice Lake.
Day 14
Fly Home
Your adventures in Southern Ontario have come to an end. Drop off the motorhome before transferring independently to Toronto Pearson International Airport for your flight home.
