Your day-to-day plan

Vancouver
Arrive at Vancouver International Airport, and transfer independently to your airport hotel. The rest of the day is free to explore the city. Why not head to Granville Island Market which has a number of different food vendors sure to please all tastes, and fantastic views of the city and mountains beyond.

Victoria
Your adventure begins as you pick up your motorhome! After stocking up on groceries take the ferry from Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Vancouver Island. Sit back and relax on the top deck as the ferry weaves its way through the Gulf Islands and make sure you keep your eyes open for wildlife! After leaving the ferry you will pass the world-famous Butchart Gardens which is well worth a visit. The next day you are free to explore British Columbia's capital city. Take a stroll round the harbour, which is lined with historic buildings such as the BC Parliament Building, head over to Fisherman’s Wharf for a fresh seafood lunch or join a whale watching tour and go in search of BC's resident orcas.

Sooke
It’s only a short drive to Sooke, so you have plenty of time to explore some of the attractions along the way. Visit Fort Rodd Hill and Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites to explore the century-old fort and Canada's oldest west coast lighthouse. Nearby Hatley Castle is an early-1900s mansion that now contains a small museum and formal gardens or if you prefer to stretch your legs in nature then stop at Roche Cove Regional Park and follow the Galloping Goose Trail to Matheson Lake.

Lake Cowichan
Today, take the long way to your destination and you won’t regret it. Follow the coastline towards Port Renfrew and you will enter the Juan de Fuca Provincial Park. This magnificent coastal park has many trails of varying length that allow you to immerse yourself in the beautiful scenery. Tear yourself away from the coast (don’t worry you’ll be back!) and head inland to Lake Cowichan.

Nanaimo
Lake Cowichan is known for its water sports, here you can go tubing and float down the crystal clear Cowichan River. On the drive to Nanaimo, make a stop at the city of Duncan known as the City of Totems, due to having over 40 beautifully decorated totems, each telling their own unique story. This region is also known for its wineries so pay a visit to a cellar door and take a couple of bottles away to enjoy later in the evening.

Ucluelet
Head through the rugged interior of Vancouver Island stopping at the spectacular Cathedral Grove and many lookouts along the way. Your end destination is Ucluelet, located on a small peninsular facing the Pacific Ocean. You have a full day to explore the Pacific Rim National Park. Join a kayak tour to explore the Broken Islands, or a bear watching tour from Tofino or just cruise leisurely up and down the coastline stopping at the many famous beaches along the way. If you want a night off from cooking, Tacofino in Tofino is a legendary spot serving fresh tacos with an assortment of different fillings.

Campbell River
You have time this morning for one last tour, why not go whale watching? The local area has resident Grey Whales and depending on the season, you may see Humpback Whales as they pass by on their annual migration. This afternoon, head back through Vancouver Island and up to Campbell River where natural beauty abounds. You have a full day to take in the sights, nearby Elk Falls Provincial Park has a spectacular waterfall which is best viewed from the suspension bridge (other viewpoints are available!). Or visit McIvor Lake Park to relax on the beach and swim in the cool lake.

Lund
It’s a short drive south to Comox where you will take the ferry over the Strait of Georgia to the Sunshine Coast and head up to the coastal village of Lund. There is no better way to explore the surrounding coastline than by taking to the water, so why not take a boat cruise or a guided kayak tour of the Desolation Sound Marine Provincial Park? The isolation of this provincial park makes it a hotspot for wildlife so keep your eyes peeled for Orca, Sea Otters, and other marine wildlife.

Sechelt
Leave Lund behind and take the ferry from Saltery Bay to Earls Cove. On the way to Sechelt you will pass Pender Harbour, a collection of quaint coastal villages wrapped around a stunning natural harbour. Climb Pender Hill for spectacular views over the harbour and stop at one of the many waterside marinas for a delicious lunch. At Sechelt, relax on the beach at Porpoise Bay.

Vancouver
Today is your final day on the Sunshine Coast but there is still so much to see! Nearby is the Smuggler Cove Marine Provincial Park which is a short walk with epic views. The coastal community of Gibsons may be small but it reached worldwide fame for being the setting of long-running TV show, The Beachcombers. Eating Fish and Chips from Molly’s Reach whilst taking in the sea views is a must! Afterwards take the ferry from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay and drive onwards to Burnaby. From the RV Park it's an easy SkyTrain into Downtown Vancouver where you can explore, do some gift shopping and enjoy one of the numerous delicious restaurants.
