Fairbanks
Arrive at Fairbanks International Airport and transfer independently to your downtown hotel. The next day is yours to explore the 'Golden Heart City'. Head over to the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Museum of the North to see hand-carved Alaska Native art and artifacts as well as the state’s largest gold display. View original installations about Alaska’s dinosaurs as well as informative exhibits on the regions culture, history, geology, and wildlife. Included as part of the itinerary is a bucket list experience, the Arctic Circle Air Adventure. Wonder at the story of the vast and remote land below. Lean how the community of Coldfoot continue to sustain their lifestyles and cultures and how gold mining activity is still active 100 years after the yellow metal first brought newcomers rushing north. See the Trans Alaska Pipeline symbolizing the immense changes brought to Alaska’s Arctic by the discovery of gold just over 30 years ago.

Denali National Park
Home to the towering Mt. Denali, which at 20,310 feet is the highest peak in North America, Denali National Park is in the heart of Alaska and encompasses six million acres of wild land. Boasting magnificent wildlife and vast tundra, during your stay in Denali take one of the popular Tundra Wilderness tours into the park itself to see its wildlife up close and learn more about the park’s history. You will find lots of great dining choices in Denali, some local favourites are 49th State Brewery just north of the park in Healy or for an unforgettable evening, why not indulge in dinner accompanied with a show at one of the two dinner theatres and learn more on the area’s history.

Talkeetna
Talkeetna has a long history with mountaineering as the jumping-off point for climbers hoping to summit Mt. Denali, as such no visit is complete without a flightseeing tour to Mt. Denali with an optional Glacier landing too (included as part of itinerary). Talkeetna itself will offer some of the best views of Denali, on a good day you can view the mountain in its entirety from this funky hamlet.

Bluewater Base Camp
Nestled in the mountains above Anchorage and surrounded by woods, this is a perfect place for those who crave soft adventure and natural scenery. The lodge offers easy access to lakes, trails, waterfalls, Matanuska Glacier, Hatcher Pass and Anchorage.

Katmai National Park
Embark on a 12-hour bear viewing tour at the remote Katmai National Park and Preserve. The park is federally protected and world famous for Alaska Brown Bear viewing. Accessible only by air, Katmai offers a unique fly out experience taking 2-3 hours with an experienced bush pilot, 2-way headset and window seats both ways, the scenic flight also includes wildlife watching on the return for Beluga Whales, moose, and Dall Sheep. Visit Brooks Falls where three bear viewing platforms are connected by elevated boardwalks which allow for close and unobstructed views. During the salmon run up to fifty bears can be seen at once along the 2.4km Brooks River. Whilst the day is self-guided, Katmai National Park Rangers provide an initial briefing and are available throughout the park for any questions. A boxed lunch is included.

Seward
Seward offers endless opportunities of outdoor recreation due to its proximity to Kenai Fjords National Park. Sampling the local seafood in one of the many restaurants within Seward is a must. Charter fishing, kayaking and whale watching are the most popular activities meaning views of Humpback Whales, Grey Whales, Orcas, Fin Whales and Minke Whales are commonly sighted.

Kenai Fjords National Park
Today sees you explore whales, wildlife, and glaciers of the pristine Kenai Fjords National Park on this 7.5 hour cruise. Wildlife opportunities include Stellar Sea Lion colonies and rookeries home to thousands of nesting seabirds due to the amount of time you are on the water there is increased opportunity to spot whales, otters, and many more marine animals. You will also stop at two active tidewater glaciers: Holgate and Aialik Glaciers. Included during the day are captain narration, use of binoculars on board, deli lunch and reserved seating in the heated cabin.
