Calgary
After arriving at Calgary International Airport, spend the rest of the day exploring the ‘Stampede City’, also known as the gateway to the Rockies. Why not head up the Calgary Tower for views over the prairies and distant Rocky Mountains?

Kananaskis Village
After picking up your hire car, head into the majestic setting of the Kananaskis Valley in the foothills of the Rockies. Spend time exploring the Kananaskis Valley. At Boundary Ranch you can explore the valley and its forest on horseback stopping for a BBQ lunch with views towards the surrounding mountains. The Mount Lorette Ponds is a great place for a short and easy lakeside stroll and if the weather is right, you can get pictures of the mountains reflecting in the still waters.

Banff
Travel onwards to Banff and take time to explore the vibrant mountain town and surrounding National Park. There’s an endless list of outdoor activities to enjoy! Start by taking the Banff Gondola up to the top of Sulphur Mountain to enjoy incredible views of the 6 mountain ranges that surround the town and then stroll the riverside path to the beautiful Bow Falls. In the evening, relax in the thermal waters of the historic Banff Upper Hot Springs, a magical experience that has drawn visitors to Banff since 1886.

Icefields Parkway
Travel from Banff to Jasper on one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. After a photo stop at Peyto Lake, Bow Lake and The Big Bend, stop at the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest accumulations of ice south of the Arctic Circle and one of the most accessible icefields in North America. Here you can ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier before stepping out on to the Glacier Skywalk for unobstructed views of the Sunwapta Valley. Continue on the Icefields Parkway to Jasper, making a stop at Athabasca Falls.

Jasper
Today you have a free day in Jasper to explore the surrounding national park and its majestic scenery. We recommend you book an excursion to nearby Maligne Lake and cruise to Spirit Island, an iconic vista of the Canadian Rockies with distant jagged mountains providing the perfect backdrop. On the outskirts of Jasper and easily reached by local transport are lakes such as Pyramid Lake, where you can hire a canoe, and Lake Annette, with its enticing beach. Look out for wildlife, Jasper is known for the herd of Elk that graze on the outskirts of town.

Sun Peaks
Follow the Yellowhead Highway as it takes you through the mountains, past Mt. Robson, the tallest peak in the Canadian Rockies and make a stop in Blue River to join a River Safari in search of resident black bear. End the day at Sun Peaks, a small mountain resort where you can experience alpine hiking and wander through the pedestrian village filled with restaurants, cafés, shops, pubs and friendly locals.

Harrison Hot Springs
On todays drive, we recommend you follow the Trans-Canada Highway, and marvel as it weaves its way down the Fraser Canyon. An ideal place to stop is at Hell's Gate where an airtram takes you down into the canyon and you can experience the intense power of the Fraser River and learn about the many historic events that happened here. Your destination is Harrison Hot Springs, a small village at the southern end of Harrison Lake famous for its healing hot springs.

Victoria
Enjoy the short scenic ferry ride across the Strait of Georgia and then make your way towards British Columbia’s capital city of Victoria. Take a stroll round the harbour, which is lined with historic buildings such as the BC Parliament Building and then head over to Fisherman’s Wharf for a fresh seafood dinner.

Vancouver
Head to the famous Butchart Gardens, before taking the ferry back to the mainland and continuing on to Vancouver. The next day you are free to further explore what the city has to offer. Stroll the historic district of Gastown, which is home to fabulous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, take flight at Flyover Canada or join a whale watching tour and go in search of BC's resident orcas.

Fly Home
Your tour ends upon checkout from your Vancouver hotel. Spend some time buying last minute souvenirs before heading to Vancouver International Airport for your flight home.
