Jasper is really a hidden gem in winter time, as unlike most ski destinations, winter is the quiet period in this year-round mountain destination. Make the journey and you'll be rewarded with wide open ski hills and no lift queue. Plus, the quiet, intimate nature of the town means you really feel like you are part of the community as you spend your evenings at one of the local bars or restaurants. The ski resort of Marmot Basin is just a short drive from the town and boasts excellent views. There is plenty of intermediate and beginner terrain, making it one for couples and families.
Marmot Basin is a 20-minute transfer from the town which is included in your lift ticket cost, taking you to enjoy 1,675 acres of amazing skiable terrain over 86 marked trails. Perfect for all levels of skiers and boarders, it is particularly good for experts or those looking for a bit more of a challenge, with 40% black and double black runs.

Marmot Basin is one of the best resorts in North America, with 86 marked trails and 7 lifts over varied terrain; there are incredible runs for all levels to discover. This is some of the best skiing and riding that you will encounter in your lifetime.

Jasper
It's a long drive from Calgary Airport to Jasper, but it is one of the most scenic routes on Earth. The world-famous Icefields Parkway is renowned for its stunning attractions, meaning the journey to Jasper is half the fun! Once you arrive, you'll find a gorgeously quiet and authentic town nestled in the Canadian Rockies.
Day 12
Fly Home
Today you will drive out of Jasper National Park on your way to Edmonton Airport. Make sure to enjoy the last glimpse of the Canadian Rockies before your flight home.
